Currently working hard on an article and chilling our with some SID Tunes played on SAM with Random play via Trinity!
Using an old program I put together a few years back – although noticing I was missing half the tunes by getting the directory size wrong was embarrassing!
(Forgot the directory was held in 256 bytes – not 512! At least I worked it out!)
I’m definitely going to be supporting Trinity on my big project – but first I need to get this one finished 🙂
Bit of a new year break – had a bit of illness… but despite all that – ready to go!
Have now got my SAM armed with Trinity (WOW!) and SID Interface.. and am really planning to jump on my work with being able to test on a Live SAM 🙂
More later !
Damn flu – make me even grumpier than normal, if that’s at all possible.
However, one thing that has brought a smile to my face (which is a rare site – and tantamount normally to seeing Mr Michael Myers of the Haddonfield Myers, wearing his beloved mask… as in rather scary!) is seeing some amazing graphics for my current project.
Thank you to the talented person responsible, and these will certainly help make it look much much better!
Have done a bit more work – hope to get more on the way now i’ve stopped with as many pounding migraines.
No – I promise not to sing – but I will sing the praises of the nice folks who’ve been working their cotton socks off on updating www.worldofsam.org
Well done Chaps! (and anyone else who’s helped too!)
Well, the routine I was decoding was starting to get my nerves somewhat – so I had to get some more experienced help.
It now makes more sense somewhat – almost decoded it – but it’s rather clever coding. Well to me at least 🙂
Thanks for the assist Balor 🙂 Would have cost me more of a hair-loss without!

Oh and British Gas suck.
But those excellent programming features on SID + SAM do not!
BTW – if you’ve a real SAM Coupe that likes the SID sound-chip then get your SID Interface from http://www.samcoupe.com – definitely worth it.
I love puzzle games.
In fact I’ve been told many times in the past that they are probably something I’m a bit addicted to….. Whilst working for a not-as-well-known as it should have been computer manufacturer in Wales in the 90′s – a Tetris game was my pleasure and curse.
And now I’m cursed again: but in a good way!!! 🙂
I have got to recommend the excellent SAM Coupe Tetris game by the incredibly talented Balor Price – who lives at www.cookingcircle.co.uk
(oh: the link is actually here)
It’s a damn good game. Seriously.
And I’m not just saying that because I tested it. I’d have played it silly without being asked. But I’m grateful.
But I’m hiding the file because I’ve some games to do.
And I’m playing with a lot of Willy at the moment. So I’d better not play it for a bit 🙂
